After having the calender out on my desk at work now for a little over 2 weeks, I greatly preferred the 2014 Calender from Trends over the 2015. Both Calenders are artwork based, rather then photo based, but all of the 2014 artwork was typically sourced from Comic Book covers, movie posters, trading card artwork, etc. Basically it was all commercial based and used in product promotions. It spanned all 6 films, and nothing seemed to be focused on more than another.The 2015 Calender thus far, to me looks like all the artwork was made possibly for this calender, as i've never seen most of them. the artwork is heavily focused on the original 3 films, and the only time you ever see something from the prequel trilogy is from the inordinate number of Stormtrooper / Clonetrooper depictions found. The artwork heavily favors certain characters, and the 2014 product's tendency to show popular minor characters such as Aayla Secura, Mara Jade, and others is definitely not repeated here.
finally, the Calender itself isn't all that great a calendar. I heavily dislike the font used for the day of the week and date, and the size of the Day and Number of the month is incredibly small. They really expanded the size of the artwork for each month, but they, at least in my mind, shrunk down the date itself.

Being a "Star Wars" fan and collector for over thirty years each year I buy all the calendars for not only regular use but for my collection.
I was NOT a fan of the 2014 edition of the "Star Wars" day calendar. Drawings NOT photos from the so far six films. Let's see what we get for 2016 with "the Force Awakens" coming out December of 2015.
Once again, the 2015 calendar has drawings NOT photos from the films. Even worse, the quality of the drawings NOT photos are not as good as the 2014 version of the calendar.
Disney has taken over and the quality has gone way down.
A disappointment.
I always get my husband a Star Wars tear away calendar for his stocking. Last year I accidentally bought this one and he loved it even more than the standard one.
The artwork portrays things from the book series--so beyond what is in the movies. This is a must have for super Star Wars fans. He's requested that I get this one for him for the rest of time.

This calendar is awesome! The artwork is amazing and it shows characters from the expanded Star Wars Universe as well as characters from the Movies. If you're a big Star Wars fan I recommend this 365 calendar!
Gift for a friend. They'll love it
Each page is a painting of a Star Wars character or scene. So far, they've all been from the movies, and nothing from the expanded universe. I've enjoyed some of the pages, but, generally, the artwork is underwhelming and uninspired. Most of the pages I've seen so far seem like something that was painted from a movie still as opposed to something original. The calendar would be much better if it interspersed a mix of content such as movie stills, behind the scenes pictures, artwork, etc. It's okay, but nothing to get excited about. I enjoyed my 2014 Jeopardy page-a-day calendar a lot more.
